My first piece came from a tour of her studio, where I was fortunate to purchase a “unique” piece of work that wasn’t even originally part of the show. My second piece recently acquired at an exhibition in St. Louis depicts a wild bergamot with a hovering ruby-throated hummingbird. The subtle variations of color and the whimsical flow of the petals make the entire scene feel alive.
Ana’s art often draws from the natural world, whether it is botanicals or the coral reef scenes she is so well known for. What makes her work special is that each piece speaks differently to each person, leaving viewers in awe of its originality.
Owning two of her creations feels like having windows into her imagination, and having met Ana makes – – them even more meaningful.”
