The Town of Cary's Festival Committee has chosen me to be the Lazy Daze Artist for 2012
below is the art piece I had the privilege to create
"Harmony in Nature and Community"
“Harmony in Nature and Community”
In creating this piece I wanted to represent
the whole of what Cary is to me.
Ashworth Village depicts Commerce
The churches our diversity in Religion
The Library and Cary Art Center
our wealth of Education.
The post office our connection to the world with
threads extended to our four sister cities represented
by their flags. The houses highlight that we at home here. The trees and flower including the Crepe Myrtles shows how we are surrounded by nature in harmony with our community.
An last the tent and people represent how we as a community come together and support each other
during Lazy Daze.
